Hall Meeting Snacks

At our Monday night hall meeting, I typically try to provide 2nd Bryan students with a hall snack, but I can't every week. Since I prefer to use our limited hall funding for activities, its super helpful to have some our families sponsor a hall snack at some point throughout year. The first Monday of each month we celebrate the birthdays for that month so it is nice to have a sweet treat for that meeting! This is all completely optional but it can be a fun way to get involved. Sign up to sponsor hall snack here!

Hall snack can be anything similar to a "lunch box" snack items that can ideally be easily shared or is pre-portioned like small chips bags. In the past, we have had snack foods such as chips, cheese and crackers, or cookies. Fresh fruit and veggies are also highly requested by students! They can purchased off the hall wish list below or purchased from a local vendor.  There are also several places in the Durham area that deliver, and I will gladly pick up prepaid items from local stores as well. (Insomnia Cookies, Pincho Loco, Dominoes, etc.)

One other option is that families are always welcome to bring snacks, birthday treats, and homemade meals to campus if you happen to be in the neighborhood.

The best way to coordinate is to connect with me via phone or email. We have 35 students on hall, if you have questions about quantities, allergies, or dietary restrictions please reach out!

Emergency Pantry

To increase access to food on campus after dining hours I keep an unlocked food pantry students may access at anytime. Built on an honor system, I ask students to utilize it when they don't have other options. I would love donations of quick shelf stable meals like microwavable mac'n'cheese, breakfast bars, ramen, etc. Some of these items are in my Amazon wish list. Please reach out if you'd like to support!

Hall Wishlist

Another great way to get involved with hall life is to purchase an item of our hall wish list.  These are usually items for hall snack, our emergency pantry, an item that will support an upcoming hall activity, or just to improve our hall space.  If you would like to send something that isn't on the list, that's great too!
